April 18th A Poetry Workshop at the Truckee Library: Writing through the jungles of self, the world, and of craft

April is National Poetry Month! To celebrate the literary arts, the Sierra Poetry Festival at the Miner’s Foundry in Nevada City on April 30th marks a culmination of a month of free pop-up arts events throughout Nevada County.

There is no royal path to good writing; and such paths as do exist do not lead through neat critical gardens, various as they are, but through the jungles of self, the world, and of craft.

A Poetry Workshop at the Truckee Library: Writing through the jungles of self, the world, and of craft

Monday, April 18th

5:30-7 pm

This FREE poetry workshop works for creatives who want to explore such paths through the jungles of self, the world, and of craft. You don't need any experience, but curiosity. All ages. Join us in a playful, supportive writing workshop to try new approaches to composing one to three new poems.  This is a pop-up event in collaboration with the Sierra Poetry Festival, April 30th at the Miner’s Foundry in Nevada City.

Karen Terrey, MFA, Poet and Writing Coach, has taught at Lake Tahoe Community College, Sierra Nevada College, and Sierra College and has served as a poetry editor for the literary journals Pitkin Review and Quay.
