The Book Project Workshop: Do you have a writing project that needs a creative kick in the butt? An ongoing three part workshop series. Develop your first draft into a refined piece through monthly feedback in a small dedicated group of writers while learning techniques for structuring and revising your book as well as tips on publishing. Monday Night Creative Writing Workshop: Connect with a writing community and improve your writing practice. Generate new material and learn tips for revision. You’ll find inspiration and motivation in this committed group. Monday nights from 6:30 to 8 pm. $100.

Writers in the Woods: Suzanne Roberts April 13 & 14 at Sierra Nevada College will be reading from her travel writing Friday night 7-9 pm and offering "Turning your Trips into Tales: The Art of Travel Writing Saturday 9 am to noon.

Poetry Slam, LTCC, April 26 at 8pm in the Aspen Room with emcee Denise Jolly
Sierra Nevada College presents the 6th Annual Tahoe Poetry Slam, April 27, 7 pm, Patterson Hall. The evening is free and open to all. There are cash prizes for the top three competitors: First place and Tahoe Slam Title receives $300, second place $200 and third place is awarded $100
